Alphabe-Thursday - "J" - "J as in jewellery-making

It's thursday today, and this week's letter for Mrs. Matlock's Alphabe-Thursday is "J". My "J-word" is "jewellery" or "The joy of jewellery-making" (Which is also the tagline for my blog):

Here is Elisabet stringing beads on elastic beading-cord to make her own necklace.

Here we see a beadboard,

where Elisabet has planned her colour-scheme for her necklace.

Every beader starts out with an idea for their piece.
It is happy work.

But beading can be tiring if you are only five years old.

Luckily Mother can finish the necklace for her.

And let her take a rest.

Mellow Yellow Monday # 60: Elisabet helps make a green & gold stretch-necklace

Dear Folks at MYM: Can we call Gold as a sort of Yellow???

This morning I got this idea to make a beaded necklace with these bright and cheery, grass-green-coloured 6mm round Czech crackle glass beads.

Why not put them together with light gold-coloured silver-lined seedbeads?

Elisabet wanted to help string the necklace.

So it became a joint effort. It's not ready to list yet.

But if we keep playing with beads and colours, it might become something.

Some of the last flowers blooming before the final killer frost

As I have mentioned several times before, we have a lovely garden.

But I am always finding interesting plants along our neighbors' fence.

These bright red-orange flowers looked like this about a week or so ago. I don't know what they are called. If anyone can tell me what their name is in English, Latin or Swedish, I would be very grateful. According to Jakill from Jean's Musings, these flowers are nasturtiums. Yes they were this bright! I will miss the lovely greens and bright reds, oranges and pinks of spring and summer.

On the other hand, I can make jewellery as cheery as summer-flowers all fall and winter.

Thursday: Time to get back to jewellery-making!

Today is Thursday, September 17th. On this blog for a week or so, I have allowed myself to do other things. It has been fun and interesting, but it's time to return to working with jewellery. After all, this blog claims to be about "the joys of jewellery-making". So today I would like to ask you to vote on what you would like to see and read about on this blog.

I have some articles lined up, but I cannot promise exactly which day a certain item will be posted. I am hoping to have more regular features on specific days as other bloggers do. I could make regular features of the ones that I suggest in my poll.

Right now I want to return to the original purpose of this blog: jewellery !
