New listings for my Etsy shops

All Photos on this post are Copyright Christina Wigren

I have been doing a lot of memes lately. Today I am just posting some recent photos of new listings and relistings, without linking up with any meme. If no one sees this post it's alright. I don't like linking up to a meme if I don't have time to go around leaving comments on other's posts. So I am 'staying at home' today!

This rose hip bracelet is new.

I had a rosehip necklace that was sold to a very dear person living in Arizona. So I am replacing it with this one.

These are just extra shots of this orange bracelet that I already have shown on an earlier post. I am using a mannequin-hand because my own hands are too weathered to model braclelets and rings anymore. I show the palm of my left hand holding dangling necklaces, but even in these photos you can see how wrinkled my palm has become.

New avatar for my bridal shop, 'BirgittasBridal'

Did you know that I have a very tiny bridal shop on Etsy called 'BirgittasBridal'? I call it 'BirgittasBridal' after my mother. Her name is Birgitta. I thought Birgitta would be a good name to call a bridal shop because my mother and father had a long and happy marriage. She was truly a happy bride and a good wife to her husband, my brother's and my father, as long as he lived.

I am still working on the banner and avatar. Here is the avatar so far: (Yes, I know I should redo the typography here.)

I need to redo the typography on the banner, too. You can't read the tagline. I'll get to it, eventually.

Those clever folks at CraftCult have made new widgets for Etsy shops. I saw this first on Trudie Davies of Trudie Davies Design. You can see everything about your shop that you can see when you look at their site -all in a pocket-sized widget!

Best wishes,
Anna

Green means growth - Alphabe-Thursday Summer School - Rainbow Green

Photo Copyright Christina Wigren

Today is Thursday and high time to link with Mrs. Jenny Matlock's Alphabe-Thursday Rainbow Summer School. This week's colour is RAINBOW GREEN. Green is a quite colour, a mixture of yellow and blue. Sometimes green needs a brighter colour like red to help it out:

To see the colour green, all you have to do is find some plants. Here is a small patch of wild strawberries:

According to Wikipedia 'the etymology of the word "green" is related to nature and growth.' Here are some hops growing all over a white painted wooden fence:

There are several green-coloured gemstones used in making jewellery:

Such as Emeralds;

And Chrysoprase;

And Peridot;

Peridot is a light green stone that is always the same green colour.

The green colour of other minerals such as Turquoise, Aventurine, Jade and Malachite, can vary. Sometimes they are not green at all.

Jade

Malachite,

I don't have much in the way of gemstones at the moment, when I am making jewellery. I would love to try making something with the soft light green of peridot gemstones. In the mean time I use green glass beads:

'E is for Eagle' - Mrs. Denise Nesbitt's ABC Wednesday, round 7 - 'E'

It's time to link to Mrs. Denise Nesbitt's wonderful meme, ABC-Wednesday, round 7.
This week's letter is 'E', about which
I have elected to write a short nonsense verse :

'E is for Eagle'

E seems at first an easy letter, effortlessly effusive and endearing,

But then E becomes an echo that we everyday, constantly are hearing,

E emulates the eagle, embarking new endeavours without fearing.

E enjoys emeralds and escapades and narrow escapes, with cheering.

But then again, I may have erred, and E is as sweet as a heart-shaped earring.
